Pure White Snow

There is now about 2 feet of snow in my little back yard and it's still snowing. I love the feeling of peace that falls with a blanket of snow. There's a blizzard happening over Manhattan and I am happily warm in my pink haven, surrounded by books, movies, music, magazines, food and my four-yearly obsession otherwise known as the Winter Olympics.

I finished 2 books that I had been reading this morning, "I'm With The Band" by Pamela des Barres and "The Best of Everything" by Rona Jaffe. I recommend both. Rona Jaffe's novel of working women in Manhattan in the 50's is a wonderful novel, especially for those who love the later feminist writers such as Marge Piercy and Erica Jong. Pamela des Barres is just great - her memoirs are a great read for the music addicts, male or female. I know my brother will enjoy reading it too, especially since they contain so many tidbits about his hero Frank Zappa.

The Viper Room is growing daily. Lynn has done an awesome job and I suggest that anyone who hasn't popped over there during their daily cyber ramblings go now. Additions, suggestions and new people are always warmly welcomed :)

The highlight of my weekend was yeaterday during a short jeans' hunt that turned into a fast-paced shopping spree, with me buying 2 new pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of black pointy, sky high stilettos. No more spending for a while now, I'm planning on moving downtown soon and will need all the money I can get!

Promise, I will update more frequently from now on. Work has been taking its toll on my time, but I hope that it won't be as bad from now on!

Ugh! I was watching the news last night and they started talking about the snow New York was getting (and I automatically thought of you). They said that you guys had gotten a pretty mild winter until tonight (last night) and it sounds pretty bad! You will live though! ...you better.

And yes, the viperroom has been amazing lately!

We got 26.9 inches in Central Park! The most ever recorded since they started taking records.
I haven't been out all day, but tomorrow the pavements will be all slushy and slippery :/
If it takes me 30 mins to get to the subway instead of 10 I may just turn round and go back home :D
